What's New: Homeschooling Help
Our third Courageous Homeschooling Handbook brings together 4,000 families to help those of us homeschooling with autism by showing why homeschooling can be the best choice, giving you a glimpse inside our homes and sharing what's worked.
But the Handbook doesn't just help with autism. Our Handbook also shares the most successful teaching ideas for reading, writing and math along with help for dyslexia and anxiety.

WEBSITES
There are some great websites out there:
- ScienceKids, with videos, quizzes, games, facts and clear explanations of simple experiments. You can even make a spider as part of their animal lesson plan.
- ScienceBob, who has all sorts of fun and wacky experiments to share. Try the super-hoop glider, the levitating orb or the rock candy experiment.
- ScienceSpot for middle school science educators.

Free Science Lessons
Great resource here....FREE science lessons from Mystery Science.

Each lesson starts with a 2 minute video followed by some questions to provoke reading and discussion which leads to a hands-on activity. Each activity has a list of supplies, free handouts and instructions.
Mystery Science is a K-5 science curriculum; well worth signing up for.
Crash Course Science
Crash Course is an educational YouTube channel. Similar to the Khan Academy in ethos, it gives free education for all.
Crash Course Kids has tons of science videos for younger children.
Crash Course covers lots of different subjects including science for older learners.

SciShow Kids
Alexa has suggested SciShow Kids on YouTube. It looks great for younger children; she says her 5, 4 and even 2 year-old love it.

Free Science Challenge
These science challenges are basically a list of great experiments to try with instructions and explanations.

Rob and I have opened an Etsy crafts shop called Brush with Nature Gifts selling greetings cards & decoupage gifts for bird and nature lovers.
