What is successful home schooling? Whatever your answer, my free e-course will teach you the techniques to help you and your children learn how to be happy and fulfilled.
In today's lesson I've got a very important secret to share.
Whether you find homeschooling rewarding / worrying / too much responsibility / lonely / energizing / fun / loving / is all down to how you FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF.
And if you've read Susan Jeffers book Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway!, you'll know that the wonderful thing is that you can CHANGE how you feel.
You can make homeschooling everything you dreamed it could be.
It's all up to YOU.
In some ways that's an awesome responsibility.
Because from when you wake up in the morning you can decide whether you start worrying about whether you'll get everything done, what your parent's think, how badly yesterday's writing lesson went
....or whether you leap up and bounce on the bed!
N.B. This is Lesson 4 of my 21 lesson free Courageous Homeschooling e-course which teaches the techniques to make homeschooling work for all of you.

Controlling our feelings is difficult whatever lifestyle choice we choose.
Research has shown that we have between 150 to 300 thoughts a minute and for most people 80% of our thoughts are negative.
That's a tough one!
And homeschooling makes things harder because there is more time to THINK.
You may be continually busy preparing projects, tidying up mess, reading to your child, mopping up the baby's sick...- but personally when I am helping my son build a castle or spell the word C - A - T my mind has plenty of time to wander.
And it often wanders into places I'd rather not go!
So one of the most vital tools you can use to achieve successful home schooling is to work on how you THINK.
As Susan Jeffers would say - drown out your negative chatterbox.
I am certain that she's right. If you can talk to yourself in the right way homeschooling can become whatever you want it to.
We're already learned two vital tools which help us do that:
1. Affirmations
2. Inspirational Quotes
Now we need to put them into practice.
Create a peaceful space in your home.
The best way to begin to conquer your chatterbox is to bring some peace and calm into your homeschool.
This is going to be the special space just for you where you have all the things around you that make you feel good.
The key to successful home schooling is to fill this peaceful space with everything that makes you feel happy.
Here are a few ideas:
I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
"I am thoroughly enjoying my daily lessons Sonya - thank you. Tomorrow we are going to be creating a peaceful space - just what we need."
~ Samie
I'll finish this lesson with the words I have picked specially for you:
I am filling my life with peace and joy.
Best wishes
Sonya
In my next lesson, we will find more ways to bring the peace and calm which create the basis for successful home schooling.
